About Us
C.A.R.E. was established July 2 2007, is a non-profit 50lc3 volunteer organization with a mission of assisting our community and aiding in providing shelter and care to stray, abandoned and abused animals. We believe in humane and ethical treatment of all animals and our goal is to provide this service to our community and the surrounding communities by raising funds with our events and our volunteer efforts and also by donations, memorials and honorariums.
Our goal is to build our own C.A.R.E. Facility to house our animals. Until we procure funds, we rely on foster yards and volunteers to provide temporary care for rescue animals. Once animals are safely secured in foster yards, we seek permanent adoption arrangements with approved families.
The funds that we raise are used entirely for the care of the rescue animals and in our communities to provide low-income families with assistance for spay/neuter programs, animal vaccinations and vet care, adequate housing, fencing or for fence mending.
Our V.I.T. program (Volunteers In Training)introduces the children volunteers in our group to the spirit of serving or giving back to the community. We mentor the children and teach the value of service to community, a time honored tradition that has been a driving force in building America for decades.
